The Write Idea

Dreamers and wishers, come in!

Filed under: Uncategorized — ljcollins @ 2:21 am

Welcome to my new blog.  I’m glad you’re here.  I’ll share my thoughts on books and writing and other things that strike my fancy.  Given my proclivities, that latter category is bound to include the environment and spirituality. Because I’m a mother, you’ll no doubt hear about my son.  I live in the ancient and healing Blue Ridge Mountains, the setting for my unfolding story, and in the city of Asheville, an important character on this stage I share.  Come play and write with me, my friends.  It’s so much more fun when we do this together!

p.s. First visitor to correctly identify the allusion in this post’s title wins a special prize.

p.p.s. Since the very first commenter got it, I added the poem.  Enjoy.

  2. “If you are a dreamer, come in. If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a hoper, a prayer, a magic-bean-buyer. If you’re a pretender, come sit by my fire, for we have some flax-golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in!” — Shel Silverstein

  3. Well done, you two. RM came in first, but DH had the whole quote. You both win! OK, except, see there’s not really a prize. Just my undying affection for letting me know I’m not alone in cyberspace. Thanks, y’all.
